Seras Voryrth

Seras had been born into the community of Despval, daughter to proud mother Sabalrae and father Daehlas. The habitants of Despval were quiet people, living in the underground caverns of Xen’drik, as so many other Drow communities did.

Her family being of wealthy origin and high stature in Despval, Seras wanted for nothing growing up. During her adolescent years however, tired of a stifled and uneventful childhood, Seras began to rebel. Her parents despaired as Seras began to bring shame to the family name, often coming home cut and bruised from drunken brawls at the nearby tavern.

Soon, Seras was spending most nights away from the comfort of her home, earning money as nothing more than a common thief. Over the course of a few years, Seras trained herself to move more silently, to blend in better with the shadows and her surroundings, and to become more alert to the dangers around her.

Gradually, she became the best there was in her ‘trade’ in Despval. Her name was spoken of in dark alleys, muttered behind hands in the corners of taverns. If you wanted to obtain something that was not yours, or rid the world of someone you believed to be a nuisance, you contacted Seras. She asked no questions, and told no-one of the things she saw. All she asked was for a few gold pieces for her time. Seras saved her payments, and as the months turned into years, her savings grew to a sizeable amount.

Eventually, at the age of 97, having only come of age in recent years, Seras was unable to bring herself to dishonour her family name any longer. Triggered by the return of an old friend to Despval, Seras decided it was time to move on.

She requested forgiveness from her parents, a parting gift to put her soul at ease. Then she gathered her belongings and set off for the distant town of Stormreach with her companion Xzantor, in search of excitement, adventure, and a new beginning.
